Warhammer Age Of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin

I was fortunate enough to be part of the gameplay team responsible to deliver this Age of Sigmar-themed RTS game to life. From the initial prototyping stages, through the countless iteration cycles during the production stages, to the Open Beta on the 7th July 2023 (proof check this) where we first showed the players this highly anticipated game. It has been quite a journey as I got to experience the stress and joys of creating a Warhammer game and watching its launch on the 17th November 2023.  ​​​​​​​
While putting my C++ and LUA skills to the test, I've worked on several game-defining features, including the vital game mechanic of factions capturing objectives in a fight for control for the solo campaign and multiplayer modes. Going through several design iterations with the research and production queue systems to make sure players understood the strategic decisions needed to be taken, comprehensive testing has never been more important to ensure that these systems worked as desired.  This was also my first foray into deterministic simulations and asynchronous web responses, which were necessary to develop the online aspects of this multiplayer game.
